Before using the soyouvebeendumped.com forums, take a moment to read through some important points worth considering:

MONITORING

First of all, the forums here are heavily monitored. Anything deemed unsuitable will be deleted immediately and the user will most likely be banned. You may or not receive warning.

Also if you run a website and are looking for some promotion here - you will also be deleted. Spamming the forums is a ban-worthy offense.

VALID EMAIL

We have an email-validation system - so you must put in a VALID email address and have one in there at all times to be a member on these forums. Any bogus email addresses will result in the user being deleted.

NOTE: If you're wishing to remain totally anonymous, chose your nickname carefully. You would be amazed how many people come here each week, post something and then wish they chose a different nickname or used a different email address.

We don't have time to change details for everyone who asks so again, choose wisely!

Also it is recommended that you get a FREE email address here to ensure your own privacy if that is your wish. Your email address will be: username@soyouvebeendumped.every1.net (not soyouvebeendumped.com!!!) Again people make THAT mistake every week!

PRIVATE MESSAGES

Our fantastic forums offer the capability to send Private Messages to each other, see who's online at the moment, and it tells you who the last person who posted is. It's a good way to make friends (and maybe even more!)

So be sure your profile is up to date!

Unfortunately, I am unable to stop someone from private messaging you but if someone is harassing you by private message, please notify us immediately and we will take action.

MEDIA ATTENTION

soyouvebeendumped.com gets extensive media coverage all over the globe, so please remember that this is a LIVE forum (with a global audience).

This means anyone can, in fact, read it - so I can not guarantee that your EX (or a colleague) won't read it. Nor is it possible that your story might not end up being mentioned in a newspaper, magazine or TV show somewhere.

We have no way of policing that - so again, please think before you write and be sensible with what you have revealed in your PROFILE section on here.

SYBD USING YOUR STORY

By posting your story here, please note that you are consenting that we may use portions of your experience in the soyouvebeendumped.com book, TV show, Screenplay etc - now being conceived.

In any case, as SYBD respects its users' privacy, we will of course try to contact you with regards to your story before using it, but in some cases, the person's email address expires and it is not possible. So post at your own risk.
